Wonders Tabernacle Church

The Journey

The journey of Wonders Tabernacle Church began in 1991 when Rev. Victor Gabriel Ng’ang’a received a profound vision. In this vision, he saw himself untying sheep to allow them to feed—a vivid and unmistakable symbol of liberation. Although he understood the vision’s significance, he did not immediately establish a church.

In 1994, Rev. Victor encountered Born to Win by Bishop David Oyedepo, the founder of Winners Chapel International. The book profoundly impacted him, introducing revelations and a mindset he had never encountered before. Inspired by the teachings, he decided to align himself with Bishop Oyedepo’s ministry.

In 1998, Rev. Victor enrolled in the Winners Chapel Bible School, a pivotal step that shaped the direction of his mission. During this time, he invested all his savings—and even his wife’s—in purchasing Bishop Oyedepo’s books, which reignited the vision God had given him. The alignment between Bishop Oyedepo’s mission of liberating men with the Word and his own calling deeply resonated with him.

In 2002, Rev. Victor established Wonders Tabernacle Church in Mihoroto Hall, Ruiru. For seven months, the congregation consisted of only eight members. Undeterred, he continued to trust God for growth. Feeling led to seek commissioning from Winners Chapel, he approached their Nairobi headquarters and waited six hours to meet with Pastor Victor Bamboye. This persistence demonstrated his unwavering zeal to receive the grace imparted by Winners Chapel. Despite the church’s modest size, Pastor Bamboye commissioned it, declaring prophetic words that laid the foundation for its growth.

Following the commissioning, Rev. Victor made a bold sacrifice—he sold his cherished Nissan Datsun for KES 60,000 to purchase instruments and seats for the church. He humorously recalls how much he loved the car, often stopping to greet people while driving it.

True to the prophetic words, the ministry began to flourish, marked by miracles, signs, and wonders. The congregation grew rapidly, and the original hall could no longer accommodate them. The church relocated to its current site along Thika Road, opposite Plainsview Hospital. Rev. Victor envisioned a grand cathedral, and in 2017, the groundbreaking ceremony was held. By 2018, the construction of the church building was complete.

In 2015, Rev. Victor founded the WISOM Bible School, a significant milestone in the church’s history. The school equips individuals called to serve God in mainstream ministry and has facilitated the establishment of churches across the country.

To this day, the vision of Wonders Tabernacle Church remains unchanged. The church continues to witness daily miracles, deliverance from satanic oppression, and the equipping of its members with the Word of God.
